To whom it may concern:
I am writing this letter of reference on behalf of David Mack, a volunteer at the Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry and the First Presbyterian Church in Germantown. Although I have known Mr. Mack since February 2006, in April of this year I became aware of his interest and abilities regarding creative business ventures, computer services, training and motivational speaking. David is highly organized and detail-oriented. He works well independently or within a team. When given a task, he requires limited supervision. He has become a valuable asset to the Crisis Ministry and to the Outreach Committee of the First Presbyterian Church where he freely gives of his time and expertise. Both are services that any agency would gladly pay for. When possible, I have employed him to implement short-term projects for the church and Crisis Ministry.
Currently he is a Crisis Ministry project manager for a pilot job development and retention program. In this capacity he is engaged in client assessment, referral, and training. His strong interpersonal and communication skills have been observed and he is effective working with clients. Also, he is engaged in the development of The First Presbyterian Church catering and business training venture slated to begin in 2008. His understanding of every aspect of this venture and his ability to effectively promote the concept engaging church members, funders, service providers, volunteers, and clients leads to high expectations for this program.
I am most impressed with his commitment to excellence and his willingness to provide IT services to our ministry. He has been a coach and mentor to me regarding the value of technology for GACM ministry and demonstrated patience and skill in explaining complex concepts in ways that made sense. Without reservation, I recommend David to your organization.
Feel free to contact me at the above number or in writing if additional information is needed.
Sincerely,
Eileen A. Jones, MSW Director Germantown Avenue Crisis Ministry | |
